Glitter Christmas Wreath

This wonderful Christmas wreath called out for a little glitter!

This glitter project is great for kids and adults alike.

For this glitter art project you will need:

  • a wreath (live or artificial)
  • Mod Podge Gloss
  • glitter (I chose poly glitter, see colors below)
  • 2 small containers (to make glitter glue in)
  • 1 medium fluffy paint brush (chose the size of paint brush that is best for the decorations on your wreath)

Step 1 Make some glitter glue:

I poured about 1 tablespoon of Mod Podge gloss glue and about 1 teaspoon poly Holographic Cassiopeia Cherry for the red glitter glue. Once you have mixed in the glitter, if you want more sparkle add in more glitter.

Make sure not to add too much glitter or your glitter will not stick and will flake off when it dries. I made a red glitter glue and painted it onto the red berries.

I poured about 1 tablespoon of Mod Podge Gloss and about 1 teaspoon of Cosmetic Iridescent Cloud Buster Clear for the snow looking glitter glue. Once you have mixed in the glitter, if you want more sparkle use more glitter.

I added the Cloud Buster Clear glitter glue to the pinecones of the wreath.

As I looked at the wreath I decided that a little snow looking glitter glue would look fabulous on the greenery also. The glitter glue became a bare hint of glitter.

The finished wreath looks GREAT and has been admired by friends and family alike.

Sometimes just a little glitter is what finishes a project. Covering every surface isn't always necessary!
