In this video, we show you how to take a plain white paint wall and make it look like it was kissed by fairies. It is fast, fun, and super easy. You just need the right materials and you will have a sparkling wall in no time- really!
Be sure to use a really soft brush and if you are doing it over a white wall keep it even and thin. If you go too thick it will tint your walls and make them look a bit dingy. If this happens you can take some of the white paint and water it down a bit and brush it over the dingy area and let it dry. Then go in with a light coat of the glitter mix. If you are worried about your skills with application then we recommend painting your wall a color first which can really help to hide uneven coverage with the Stays Clear.
The quart covered more than 120 square feet. The glitter was pretty heavy between the ultra-fine and the chunky flakes. I like using the two sizes. The UF gives an overall sparkle and the Chunky packs a big and obvious punch. Using the two together is pretty wonderful.
Hope you give it a try!
Comments- Our recommended glazing medium is Benjamin Moore Stays Clear Gloss/High Gloss. It makes the walls sparkle and it is completely washable when dry! It offers a super easy cleanup, and it is so thick that the glitter does not settle in the bucket very fast (less stirring). You have to buy it at a Benjamin Moore store, but I did find one online retailer that offered it. It is expensive and TOTALLY worth it in time-saving, one coat application, no need to seal, and so much more. It can even be used in a bathroom where it is damp.
