We decided to run a test on all our solvent-resistant glitters. We wanted to see if there was any breakdown or bleeding with any of the colors. We started with clear polish and added a teaspoon of glitter to each bottle (this is not a suspension test). Here are the results!

Notes: Many glitters cannot be used for nail polish! For best results, check our Usage Chart and pay attention to the solvent-resistant column. If buying other brands- be sure to check with them and make sure their glitters are solvent resistant.

Craft Glitter- DO NOT USE! Yes, the price is wonderful, but as soon as it hits the nail polish it will melt or bleed. It is not solvent resistant at all.
Acrylic Glitter- OK for using with acrylic or gel nail systems only. It is not solvent resistant so it will melt and bleed if you try and suspend it in nail polish.
Polyester Glitter- OK for acrylic, gels and many in nail polishes. Many polyester glitters are solvent-resistant. Some colors may bleed a bit so test, test test!
