The method used here was to use their white base paint as the adhesive. If you decide to use this technique, it is very important that your paint goes on thick and wet. If you are going over a different color or your surface needs two coats- go ahead and lay down the first coat and let it dry. Then use your second coat as your adhesive for the glitter. If it is hot out, your paint will dry really fast and you may have trouble with the glitter bouncing off the ceiling and not sticking.

The glitter gun has a nozzle that you can point upwards. Practice a bit before you jump in there and start on your project. Get to know the equipment and develop a technique. When you feel comfortable, jump in and have fun!

On glitter- You can use craft glitter but keep in mind that it will fade with exposure to sunlight. Polyester has UV resistance and is a better choice for long-term sunlight exposure. Keep in mind that with glitter "The Bigger The Flake- The Bigger The Sparkle".
