A carnival came to town over the 4th of July. We went down to talk to the owner about glittering carnival rides. This video just goes over a few tips that might help if you are restoring a ride.

When selecting glitter for carnival rides you need to focus on a couple of factors- Solvent Resistance and UV Inhibitors. You will be sealing your rides with heavy duty sealers such as car clearcoat mediums. Those mediums will require your glitter to be solvent resistant. Your rides will also be sitting out in the sun all summer being exposed to UV. The glitter you select should be coated with UV inhibitors. Between the flake coating and the UV inhibitors found in clearcoat mediums, you should get years of beautiful color before the inevitable fading begins to set in.
