This glitter project for kids was inspired by a craft project that I did in elementary school.
For this glitter art project you will need:
- glitter (I chose fine craft glitters in Kelly Green Dream, Carrot Orange, and Maroon Burst. I also chose the following poly glitters ; Iridescent Taurus Gleam, Iridescent Mystic Starlight, Holographic Discotheque, Holographic Nebulas Spin, Pearlescent Daffodil Yellow, and Pearlescent Stargazer Pink.)
- glue (I chose Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky Glue)
- a potting container
- several small containers (to mix the glitter glue into)
Make sure that you have washed and dried the container you have chosen. If you paint onto a dirty surface the glitter glue will not stay stick well.
Pour enough glue into one of the small mixing containers then add enough glitter to make a dense enough glitter glue (you can test a small section on the planting container and increase the glitter to make a thicker glitter glue).
Repeat these steps to make all the glitter glues you want for your design.
Once you have the glitter glue ready, you can start painting your images and designs onto your planting pot.
I chose a tulip and cloud motif for this container.
It took about two hours in a cool room for the glitter glue to dry.
The shimmery, glittery potting container is now ready for a plant!
