Glitter Picture Frames
This glitter picture frame project was inspired by two very good friends getting married.
The items used for this project were:
- a wood picture frame (I found mine at a second-hand store)
- Glow-In-The-Dark Mod Podge
- polyester glitter in Iridescent Voided Lament
- white and black shrink plastic
- colored markers
I applied three coats of the Mod Podge Glow-In-The-Dark, allowing each application to dry fully before applying the next layer. I used the Glow In The Dark so the picture frame would sparkle during the day and glow at night.
I then mixed 1/4 teaspoon of the Iridescent Voided Lament to 4 tablespoons of Mod Podge Glow In The Dark (making a wonderful glitter glue).
I then made sure to apply the glitter glue evenly onto the frame.
While the glitter glue was drying I made several inspirational word plaques with the white and the black shrink plastic.
It is fun to watch the shrink plastic reduce in size as it bakes in a toaster oven.
Once the word plaques were cooled off, I added them around the pictures I used for the wedding collague.
The picture collage and frame turned out great.
